Our partnership with Olio
This May, we’re proud to be partnering with Olio, the app that helps neighbours share food and household items rather than letting them go to waste.
From 4th May to 31st May, Olio users will have the option to donate to the Mental Health Foundation after collecting or sharing an item through the app. It’s a simple action, but one that can help make a real difference.
At the Mental Health Foundation, we know that community connection and kindness are powerful protective factors for mental health. Small acts of generosity can help people feel more connected, supported and valued.
Olio is built around those same values. It helps people save money, reduce waste and support one another locally by sharing food, household items and other essentials with people nearby.
With more than 9 million users globally, Olio has become a go-to app for people looking to make their money go further. According to Olio, 84% of users say their financial wellbeing has improved as a result of using the app, and 76% report improved mental health.
By choosing to donate through Olio this May, users can support both their local communities and the Mental Health Foundation’s work to help create a society where everyone can enjoy good mental health.
If you already use Olio, keep an eye out for the donation option in the app this week. If you’re new to it, now is a great time to start sharing.
