Pamela Jenkins

Senior Research Officer

Pamela is a Senior Research Officer currently working as part of the See Me Scotland Research and Learning Team, and leading a programme of work on Poverty, Economy and Mental Health.

Pamela also supports the work of the Families, Children and Young People programme at MHF Scotland and is supervising PhD research into stigma and mental health in children and young people. Pamela additionally holds an Honorary Research Fellow post at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Pamela completed her first degree in Sociology and a Masters in Public Health Research at The University of Edinburgh, before going on to carry out a PhD in public health at the University of Stirling. Pamela has previously worked as a health promotion specialist and a researcher on numerous health research projects.

Pamela’s research interests include mental health stigma, health behaviours, families and young people’s mental health and children of parents affected by mental illness. In her spare time, Pamela enjoys playing football with her wee boys, socialising with pals and watching terrible reality television!
