Alexa has worked in health policy and advocacy for 25 years in a variety of settings, and leads the Foundation’s media, campaigning, policy and public affairs activity across the UK.
She has expertise in shaping policy change and is passionate about driving equity in health outcomes.
Before joining the Foundation, Alexa led the Policy and Practice teams at Rethink Mental Illness. Before that, she spent many years in policy and public affairs consultancy, working with health clients from the life sciences, charity and service provider sectors. She previously led the government affairs teams at the Healthcare Commission and at the Royal College of Nursing, which first sparked her interest in mental health.
Originally from Yorkshire, Alexa lives in South London and enjoys running, reading and the theatre.
