Alexa has worked in health policy and influencing for 25 years in a variety of settings, and leads the Foundation’s policy, research and programmes activity in England.
She has expertise in testing innovative approaches and gathering evidence to drive policy change and is passionate about driving equity in health outcomes.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Alexa led the Policy and Practice teams at Rethink Mental Illness. Before that, she spent many years in policy and public affairs consultancy, working with health clients from the life sciences, charity and service provider sectors. She previously led the government affairs teams at the Healthcare Commission and at the Royal College of Nursing, which first sparked her interest in mental health.
Alexa is an external advisor to the Service Development Committee at Brook. She lives in South London and enjoys running, reading and the theatre.
