Sami is a strategic leader with a focus on EDI, Youth Leadership and Governance; holding a portfolio of cross sector NED roles and is an independent consultant. He co-chairs the ~iWill Movement and also sits on its associated fund that has allocated over £100M of funding to groups across the country. His passion for change is rooted in his past mental health struggles and being an asylum seeker, which he has used to lead in co-production of clinical mental health research with institutes such as NIHR, KCL and University of Maastricht; previously also advised on national campaigns such as the 'Big Help Out' (reach of 7M) and 'Give an X' (reach of 4M), and is currently supporting the Department of Culture, Media and Sport in the development of the National Youth Strategy. Sami remains focused on social change and is a fellow for the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
