Project Co-ordinator, Green Ribbon Arts Festival
Mark is working for the Mental Health Foundation in Wales, to organise the inaugural Green Ribbon Arts Festival. The festival will demonstrate how the arts can prevent mental illness in Wales.
Mark’s previous job was at the Wales Co-operative Centre, where he worked in comms, marketing, and PR, on various Welsh Government and European funded projects for twelve years. His introduction to PR and press liaison was with South Wales Police. Prior to this, Mark was a radio journalist for several years.
Mental health is Mark’s passion, and he’s created an arts and media social enterprise ‘Sixty Six / Ninety Nine’ that provides new solutions to suicide awareness and prevention. Working alongside Disability Arts Cymru, Mark was co-founder of the Welsh Mental Health Arts Festival in 2015. Mark is an active campaigner on various mental health topics.
Outside of work, you’ll generally find Mark listening to his favourite music on Spotify, watching a detective drama boxset, and supporting his favourite teams in various sports.
