Firewalk - Riverside Museum, Glasgow

Date: Wed 15th May 2024

Every adventure starts with a single step...  Sign up and be part of our Firewalk at the Riverside Museum, Glasgow on the evening of Wednesday 15 May 2024.

Face your fears and challenge yourself to walk barefoot over a bed of hot embers and support our vision of creating a mentally healthier future for everyone! Fire-walking is a metaphor for life, every major decision we make in our lives - it is the first step that is the most difficult, after that we just keep going forward. Fire-walking is empowering and an incredible way of freeing ourselves from self-limiting beliefs - we are all equal when we are standing barefoot in front of the fire.

Join our team...

We know life is busy and can be stressful, and not everyone has time for extensive training plans - that is why the Firewalk is the perfect event for you!  You will be in the safe hands of Lee, who is a fully qualified Firewalk Instructor and Empowerment Coach (Firewalk Scotland), who will take you through a motivational session prior to the Firewalk - helping you prepare for this exhilarating challenge feet first! Show your support at our first Firewalk - an incredible way to raise funds, overcome fear and self doubt and build your confidence.

Everyone who signs up will receive a Mental Health Foundation T-shirt.

Some things to note:

  • Participants must be aged 16 on the day of the event!
  • Should you have any disabilities of pre-existing medical conditions, which may affect your ability to complete this event, then please let us know.
  • Spectators can't sit in on the workshop (this includes children), but they are very welcome to watch and cheer you on and they should arrive 15 minutes before the actual fire-walk.
  • The fire-walk is around 2 metres and can usually be covered in a few steps.  At no point will anyone be forced or coerced into walking on the embers - it is entirely voluntary.
  • It is not weather dependent - if it is raining, we will go ahead - unless the rain or snow are so heavy that they would put out the fire or there are high winds.

If you have any questions about the Firewalk, please email the  [email protected]  or call them on 0141 572 0125.
