Rob Dickie

Arts and Festival Officer

Rob works with the arts team at the Mental Health Foundation in Scotland, focusing most of his attention on the annual Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival. He leads on curating the film programme, supports participation by communities and volunteers across Scotland, and manages the festival’s website and social media channels. He is passionate about using the arts to spark authentic conversations and develop intuitive understandings around mental health.

Rob has been involved with SMHAF and MHF for around a decade, starting out as a volunteer reporter before progressing in various freelance roles. Prior to joining the team on a permanent basis, he completed an MRes in Human Geography at the University of Glasgow and has worked in digital marketing and as a freelancer in the arts and charity sectors.

Outside work, Rob can be usually found in the southside of Glasgow with his two fast-growing children. He enjoys hiking and cycling in the Scottish countryside, baking sourdough bread, and sometimes even finds time for a good book or trip to the cinema.
