The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is the eighth Abbott World Marathon Major!
Running any one of the Cape Town Marathon events is a way to experience the cultural highlights and the uniquely vibrant spirit of one of Africa's most visited cities. Arguably the most beautiful marathon route on the continent let alone the world!
If your application is successful there will be a £50 registration fee and a £2000 minimum sponsorship. Please give us much information as you can to support your entry.
The marathon course is fast, moderately undulating, and highly scenic, showcasing Cape Town’s iconic landmarks and natural beauty.
- Passes Table Mountain and the Atlantic Seaboard
- Runs through Southern Suburbs including Rondebosch and Salt River
- Loops along the Sea Point Promenade
- Key landmarks: Rondebosch Common, Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town City Hall, Company Gardens, Long Street
- Finish line offers views of Green Point Stadium and Table Mountain

From the moment you sign up to the day of the race and beyond, the Events Team will be there to offer you personalised support to ensure that you enjoy the whole process of fundraising for charity and can raise as much money as possible to support the vital work that we do!
