Peer Support Volunteer Coordinator, Scotland
Brian Combe is the Peer Support Volunteer Coordinator for the Time and Space project in Stirling and Clackmannanshire, Scotland.
Brian first became involved with the Mental Health Foundation as a volunteer peer mentor for the Time and Space project which aims to support carers of those with mental health problems. His passion for peer mentoring stems from his first-hand experience of using the service and he is eager to get more residents of Stirling and Clackmannanshire involved.
Brian's experience ranges from volunteering with ACT India, a Sussex based charity that helped with the educational expenses of Dalit children, The Sussex Beacon, a care centre for people with HIV/AIDS, and the Anglo-Austrian Society as part of their work with physically disabled people.
He also bakes bread, grows vegetables, ferments Kombucha and collects small plastic monsters.
