Five steps to great fundraising

Follow our five steps to holding a fundraising event...

Step 1: Plan your event

Holding a successful event takes planning.

Arranging a date and location for your event must therefore be the first thing that you do. Think about how many people might attend and how you plan to get them donating!

Step 2: Confirm your event with us

Once you have set your date and venue, confirm your event with us to request fundraising resources and even add it to our interactive event map.

Step 3: Spread the word

We recommend making a JustGiving page using the button below to spread the word and to ask for donations. You can send around the link to your page on social media, or even include it in your email signature.

Step 4: Get fundraising

Sharing your page is a great way to gather in donations but be sure to think about other things you can do to maximise the impact of your fundraising.

If you're doing a football tournament, consider a dizzy penalty shoot-out or crossbar challenge; if you're doing a head shave then why not do a guess the weight of the hair sweepstakes? It's up to you to be creative and think outside of the box!

Step 5: Make your donation

The easiest way to pay in your donation is by using our website form. If you collected any cash, please pay this into your own bank account first and then transfer it using our website form.

We can also take payments over the phone. You can do this by calling the Events Team on 020 7803 1123.

If you have any further queries about fundraising, please contact us on 020 7803 1123 or by emailing [email protected]. We're here to help!
