Perinatal Mental Health in Wales
NSPCC Cymru Wales has joined forces with The National Centre for Mental Health, Mind Cymru and The Mental Health Foundation to develop a project which investigates perinatal mental health services across Wales.
Over the next year, we will be working together to map out what services are available across statutory and voluntary sectors in Wales for women and their partners experiencing a range of perinatal mental health problems. The project will illustrate examples of best practice in perinatal mental health services, and also identify where enhancements are needed to better support women and their families. The project also seeks to explore what it is like for women and their partners in Wales to live with, and manage these types of illnesses. We will be writing up our findings into a report which we will be launching in March 2018.
