Children, young people and families
Forming a family and parenting is an important part of life, with many changes taking place. Both mothers' and fathers' mental health may be affected during this transition, which may influence their child's mental health.
Parental mental health problems, if untreated, can affect the long-term wellbeing of both parents and children. We work on a variety of innovative projects with children and young people, including with MHF Young Leaders and Leaders Unlocked.
We want to tell you about a project that we are running with University of Sussex which aims to help student mental health.
Peer Education Project (PEP)
Our innovative school-based project sees older pupils deliver mental health lessons to younger pupils, with the aim of creating more understanding and eradicating stigma.
