We have been commissioned by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation for work around rights, disability and dementia. We will produce a policy discussion paper and convene a roundtable event to discuss the paper aimed at developing a greater awareness and understanding of conceptualising dementia in terms of the social model of disability and a rights based approach in England but taking learning from other countries where relevant.
