I started work at the Foundation in 2020 to work on the ‘KidsTime’ project as a Drama Facilitator and have recently started work on ‘Young Mums Connect’ project.
Before joining MHF I trained at drama school and was a jobbing actor for 14 years which brought some amazing experiences but also a lot of time out of work!
This is where I fell into running drama workshops for many different organisations.
It was while working with young people on a project called ‘Violence against young women’ that I found my real passion was engaging and enabling young people in difficult situations and often coming from very difficult backgrounds, to help them overcome the barriers they were facing.
Using my own lived experiences, I soon realised I could help empower young people, using creative methods and help them overcome challenges they were facing.
In my spare time I love going to the theatre, concerts, traveling and playing basketball/football with my 3 boys.
