Marwah El-Murad

Programme Manager – Families, Children and Young People’s Programmes (Universal and Education-based Programmes)

Before joining the Foundation, Marwah managed projects promoting social integration and community action, and equipping young people with skills to navigate life’s challenges.

Marwah joined the Mental Health Foundation in 2019. She manages the Foundation’s universal and education-based programmes, supporting families, children, and young people to look after their mental health, in school, college, and university settings.

She is passionate about amplifying service users’ voices and facilitating coproduction to ensure initiatives are service user-led.

Having been a young person supported by Lewisham CAMHS in South East London, Marwah has lived experience of chronic depression and anxiety, and cares deeply about working to prevent mental health problems for children and young people. She looks after her mental health by coming up with creative and elaborate activities with friends, cooking, singing, painting, and being bossed around by her cat, Mari.
