Kate Hughes

Research Assistant

Kate is a Research Assistant working on a variety of projects within the Mental Health Foundation Scotland Research Department, including the ongoing COVID Impact Study and the evaluation of See Me programmes. 

With an MSc in Health Inequalities & Public Policy and a BA in Peace Studies, Kate has a strong interest in the factors that exacerbate mental health inequalities, at a local, national and global level.  

Prior to joining the Mental Health Foundation, Kate worked in a number of Third Sector research and project co-ordination roles, both in the UK and internationally in Slovakia, Malta and Nepal. 

She enjoys running, swimming and travelling in her spare time.
