Programme Manager – Adults
Ghizala started at the Foundation at the end of 2020 as the Programme Manager for the adults work across Scotland. She has over twenty years' experience of running and managing community development initiatives across Scotland, including mental health projects. For almost a decade, she was the lead external consultant delivering equality and diversity training to staff across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, as well as producing resources to support staff learning and development.
She has an MPhil in psychology from the University of Glasgow and went on to complete a MSc in occupational (organisational) psychology at Birkbeck College, London University.
Ghizala’s interest in the Foundation stems from the organisation’s focus on prevention work, and vision: ‘good mental health for all’. Her experience of working with some of the most socially excluded communities in Scotland highlighted the impact that inequalities can have on people’s mental health and society as a whole.
Ghizala likes to travel, spend time with friends and enjoys walking, reading and writing.
