Supporter Service Executive

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Supporter Service Executive to support our Public Fundraising Team.  This will be a one-year fixed-term maternity cover.

Starting salary £25,000 rising to £28,000 plus £3,285 London Weighting

This exciting Supporter Services Executive role will work with the Public Fundraising Team to deliver an exceptional supporter experience to create engaged supporters and facilitate growth. The Supporter Services Executive is a pivotal role within the Team, making sure all our supporters are welcomed and thanked and any new relationship is identified and nurtured. The role also will ensure that Team operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What does the role involve?

  • Provide a professional service to supporter queries received via email, telephone or post
  • Maintain and accurately update the database to maintain efficient processes for managing supporter donations and communications
  • Help ensure the team’s operation runs as efficiently as possible at all times

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

  • Effective working knowledge of supporter services areas such as individual giving and community and challenge fundraising.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills including prioritisation and time management
  • Effective IT skills, in particular excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and use of a relationship database, preferably Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Employment Benefits

Pension (non-contributory)

The Foundation considers it important to encourage staff to save for their retirement and as such provides staff with an 8% contribution as part of auto-enrolment from 3 months service. After successful completion of the probationary period this increases to 10%, all non-contributory.

Employee Assistance Service

At times staff may face and need help with a variety of issues throughout their lives and as part of the commitment to staff members the Foundation provides an independent and confidential information, support and counselling telephone service. Support is available on a range of issues including legal, financial, emotional, health issues and work-related concerns. Free to contact, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 0800 030 5182.

Wellbeing Days

Staff may take up to 3 days per every leave year for their personal wellbeing and mental health needs. These days must be taken during the leave year and cannot be carried over.

Annual leave

Staff receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata when part-time, rising to 26 days after 3 years’ service and 27 days after 5 years’ service. The additional annual leave is awarded on 1 April following the relevant work anniversary. The leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

Christmas leave

Staff receive an additional 3 days leave at Christmas when the office closes between Christmas Day and re-opens after New Year’s Day. This is in addition to the annual leave entitlement.

Life Assurance Scheme

Staff receive death in service life cover at four times their annual salary.

Flexible working

The right to request flexible working is available to all staff. There are a number of different flexible working arrangements available which can be arranged by mutual consent.

Season ticket loan

Interest free loans are available to purchase season tickets for the journey between home and work. Available after successful completion of probationary period.

Cycle to Work Scheme

The Cycle to Work scheme is a UK Government tax exemption initiative introduced to promote healthier journeys to work and to reduce environmental pollution. Staff will be able to apply for a loan to purchase a bicycle of a value of up to £1,111 tax free. Available after successful completion of probationary period.
