Great Stirling Run – Marathon & Half Marathon

The Simplyhealth Great Stirling Run features a city centre start and finish and incorporates both full and half marathon distances.

Starting near the imposing Stirling Castle, runners will pass Blair Drummond Safari Park, on the way towards Doune, crossing the historic Bridge of Teith and on to Dunblane.  The route will take you past the historic Wallace Monument and a new part of the course will take in a long scenic section along Hillfoots Road through Blairlogie before returning to Stirling via Springkerse area, finishing on Kings Park Road.

But if taking on the full marathon seems too daunting, why not take on the marathon’s little brother instead?   The half marathon distance will take place alongside the marathon.  The route starts in the city of Stirling on Millennium Way (A84), a stone's throw from the iconic Stirling Castle, and takes runners on a 13.1 mile tour through the city and out towards the Ochil Hills. With stunning views, rolling countryside and a fantastic finish line on King's Park Road the half marathon distance is the perfect option to build up your long distance running.

As soon as you cross that finish line you'll be rewarded with that all-important medal, as well as a goodie-filled finisher's pack and exclusive event technical t-shirt.
