Chair of the Board of Trustees
Keith has been a trustee since 2011 and chair since 2014. His career began with Shell, then he became a partner at McKinsey from 1998 to 2006, before joining Deloitte as a partner in the Government practice, retiring in 2017.
He is a consultant and mentor to senior leaders and has published widely on leading change in organisations. He is a Fellow at Windsor Leadership and he was previously trustee and chair at Build Africa from 2006 to 2014. Keith is committed to the cause of mental health, having personal and professional exposure to the challenges of mental ill health.
As chair of the board, his role is to ensure the Foundation serves its objectives and strategy; operates effectively and acts as a good steward of its resources; and that the Foundation is well-represented to decision-makers, donors and key stakeholders. He works closely with the senior management team to ensure delivery of the business and a collaborative and challenging relationship with the board of trustees. Ultimately, Keith sees his impact as ensuring delivery of the entire Foundation’s efforts and distinctive expertise.
