Crisis Project

The Crisis Project was a partnership between the Mental Health Foundation, the Scottish Government and the Scottish Association for Mental Health

We have developed National Standards for Crisis Services(2006) and recently published a Crisis Services Practice Toolkit (2008).

To support the implementation of the 2006 standards and to reflect the challenges involved we have been developing a Learning Network to:

  • share knowledge
  • develop an understanding of a range of perspectives
  • create a practical resource to support implementation work.

This Learning Network included wide representation with service users and their carers and both voluntary and statutory colleagues working together as equal and minority ethnic communities partners.

This project is now completed and a Crisis Services Toolkit(2008) is available to download online. Alternatively hard copies can be obtained from the Mental Health Foundation Scotland Office.
