What part service users find the 2008 Care Programme Approach can play in their recovery

cpa-comp.jpg

This study focuses on the 2008 Care Programme Approach which is designed for people who use secondary mental health care services and have wide-ranging needs, or are thought to be particularly at risk.

The study stems from a partnership between the Mental Health Foundation and the National Survivor User Network (NSUN). It is being conducted by two service user researchers: Dorothy Gould, the project lead, and Sarah Yiannoullou, the National Survivor User Network Manager. The study will explore how effective service users find the Care Programme Approach in promoting recovery as they understand it.

The study is London-based. It began in August 2011 and will continue until March 2012. If you have experienced the Care Programme Approach since October 2008 and would like to contribute your views to the study, please contact Dorothy Gould at gould.dorothy@gmail.com, or Sarah Yiannoullou at sarah.yiannoullou@nsun.org.uk
