Age Well
We want to find out how the generation of people currently aged 55-65 can protect their mental health and wellbeing as they get older.
The challenge of the two-year Age Well project is to:
- better understand the factors that increase the risk of mental illnesses as people get older
- identify ways in which people can be helped to protect their mental health
- determine the types of support and advice that will best meet their needs and preferences if they experience mental illness.
We will produce a report that helps individuals, groups, policy-makers, service providers and business understand what could benefit, improve and protect the mental health and wellbeing of the baby boomer 1946-1955 generation.
Help us change ageing
We believe that there is an opportunity to improve mental health in later life and that the baby boomer generation can lead this change. If you were born between 1946 and 1955 then we want to hear your views and opinions.
The Age Well project is funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
