Self-Management Training in Wales
We are assessing the the effectiveness of a service-user designed self-management training programme in Wales.
Self-management allows people to develop planning and problem solving skills. Setting their own goals, people learn to plan the small steps to achieve those goals and tackle problems relating to achieving those goals.
We want to find out what effect the self-management skills that people learn have on their lives. We have asked participants about their wellbeing, functional living skills, and goal achievement; and we hope to follow them for a year. We will also perform cost effectiveness analysis at the end of the project. Data collection is currently underway.
