Mental Health Awareness Week 2011


In 2011, we raised awareness of how sleep impacts on our mental health.

We developed a set of resources to help the public to achieve a better night’s sleep:

  • The 'Sleep Well' pocket-guide, which provides practical tips to help everyone get a better night’s sleep, as well as information on different sleeping disorders, the problems they can cause and possible solutions
  • A sleep diary (included in the pocket guide) to help you to keep track of when you slept well or poorly and the possible reasons why that happened
  • Sleep relaxation MP3: an MP3 guide, which helps to relieve stress and muscle tension that has built up throughout the day, preparing your body and mind for a sound night’s sleep
  • Awareness-raising posters.
