Our work on children and young people

The mental and emotional health of children and young people affects their mental health in adulthood and later life.

We have been working for many years to raise awareness about how to protect children and young people’s mental health and improve the services that support them.

Some of our work focuses on specialist mental health services, such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

Much of it takes place in more mainstream settings, working out how we can help children, young people and families through work in schools, youth clubs and family services.
