The Mental Health Foundation welcomes
Together for Mental Health, the Welsh Government's new 10 year strategy for mental health. It builds on the success of the
Mental Health Measure that enshrines holistic care planning in law.
David Crepaz-Keay, who leads the Mental Health Foundation's work in Wales, said: "This strategy is a major step forward for everyone in Wales affected by mental ill health. We are particularly pleased that this is a whole government strategy, with a clear focus on people's lives, not their diagnoses. But it is important that the promises in the strategy are delivered.”
David was involved in developing the strategy and is part of a Welsh Government Working Group developing tools to ensure that the impact of the strategy is assessed from the perspective of people who experience mental ill health.
