Feeling stressed, frazzled or wound up? Help is now available at the click of a mouse. The Mental Health Foundation has launched a range of free podcasts designed to help listeners relax and unwind.
Whether you’ve had a demanding day at work or a hectic day looking after the kids, the podcasts - some as short as five minutes - can help listeners clear their minds, relieve feelings of tension and get ready to go to sleep. Some of the podcasts include relaxation and breathing exercises.
Celia Richardson, Director of Communications at the Mental Health Foundation, said:
“A small amount of stress every now and then is okay but too much of it on a regular basis can harm your mental and physical wellbeing.
Around 45 million working days are lost each year through anxiety and stress-related conditions. The ability to relax and taking the time to do it – even just for 5 minutes a day – are important ways we can all look after our mental health.”
The seven free podcasts are available to download from www.mentalhealth.org.uk/relax and can be listened to on either a computer or MP3 player.
