Do you feel in the dark when it comes to mental health?

If you do, you’re not alone. Many of us have questions about mental health but don’t know where to turn

News Release, 19 January 2007

To help, a charity called the Mental Health Foundation has revamped it’s website to provide a one-stop shop for people wanting to know more. Updated daily with news, the comprehensive website provides the latest information on over 50 mental health problems, their symptoms and treatments available.

The website’s interactive ‘Have Your Say’ section allows visitors to talk to each other and share their own personal experiences online. Visitors looking for help can search a directory containing 2,000 organisations that offer information and support.

Andrew McCulloch, Chief Executive of the Mental Health Foundation said:

“A quarter of the population experience mental illness every year and most of us know someone who has experienced a mental health problem yet people often don’t know where to go to get helpful information - this website is a good first place to turn to if you want to know more.”
