Mental Health Foundation appoints Director of Mental Health Programmes

The Mental Health Foundation has appointed Kathryn Hill to the new post of Director of Mental Health Programmes. Kathryn, who is due to begin work at the Foundation in January 2006, will oversee the charity’s expanding research, policy and service development operations.

 

Kathryn comes from the National Patient Safety Agency where she is currently Mental Health Lead. Prior to that, Kathryn worked at the Institute for Applied Health and Social Policy at the King's Fund for four years in mental health service development, and has twenty-two years’ experience as an NHS manager.

 

Dr Andrew McCulloch, Chief Executive of the Foundation said;

 

“We are excited by this appointment. Kathryn has all the skills needed to lead and co-ordinate our core teams, and deliver many more of the excellent research, policy and development products they have become known for.”

 

Kathryn Hill said;

 

"I am looking forward to joining the Foundation as I value its broad based approach to mental health and I am excited by the prospect of working with a group of very talented and committed individuals.”
