The Mental Health Foundation appoints rebranding agency

News Release, 24 January 2004

The Mental Health Foundation has recently appointed Spencer du Bois to manage the transformation of its brand. Growth has meant that the mental health charity has changed significantly in recent years.

Chief Executive, Andrew McCulloch, who joined the Mental Health Foundation two years ago, said:

“We hope that the rebrand will consolidate the significant internal changes we have been through in the last 24 months, and that the brand will accurately reflect who we are and why we’re here. In order to take the charity forward, a solid brand, which everybody understands is most definitely needed. ”

“We have chosen Spencer DuBois because they are very experienced in not-for-profit communications. We appointed them after a competitive pitch on the strength of their previous work, and their understanding that the rebranding process should involve everybody working in the organisation.

The rebrand coincides with the charity’s move to new offices on the River Thames. The new brand is scheduled for launch in April 2005.

The charity’s sister organisation, the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities, will also be changing it’s brand identity in the near future.
