Run the Edinburgh Marathon in aid of the Mental Health Foundation

Edinburgh Marathon

A huge thank you and congratulations to the 18 runners who took part in this year's Edinburgh Marathon!

Are you feeling inspired?

This is your chance to take part in one of the UK's most challenging marathons, the Edinburgh Marathon, in May 2011. Take in the historic city of Edinburgh, cheered on by pipe bands whilst raising much needed funds and awareness for the Mental Health Foundation.

How to sign up for the 2011 marathon

Choose between the individual marathon or get your friends/colleagues involved and take part as a team (teams of four are required to split the marathon distance between them with the longest leg being about eight miles). If you want to run as part of a team you will need to make it clear you're wishing to enter the "Hairy Haggis relay".

To apply directly for one of our charity places,  please complete our online form

We will look after you all the way:

  • Fundraising support

  • Training advice

  • Free running vest

  • And lots more

Entering the ballot

The Edinburgh Marathon ballot is now open to pre-register for a place. The ballot officially opens on 1 August. If you secure your own place in this event you can still join our team and receive all the team benefits. To apply go on to the Edinburgh Marathon Website and click on 'how to enter'.  The ballot deadline is 1 December 2010.

You can also set up your own sponsorship web page.

Not a runner?

Even if you are not a runner, you can still join the Mental Health Foundation's cheering team on the day. Your support can make a huge difference to our runners.
