About Tea & Talk
Tea & Talk is the Mental Health Foundation's national fundraising day. It's our way of marking World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2013 and raising much-needed funds for our work.
A good cuppa and a chat can be really beneficial: just sharing your cares and hopes with someone can be great for your own wellbeing. Holding a Tea & Talk means that you can have tea, cake and a nice natter while helping people who experience mental health problems and breaking down stigma.
By hosting your own Tea & Talk event, you'll be raising much-needed money to fight the suffering caused by mental illness.
You can find out more about how we work to achieve this and see a list of our current projects, reasearch and policy work.
Hear from some of our Tea & Talkers and their reasons for taking part:
“In our small way, we wanted to help improve the lives of the people suffering every day and to get everyone talking about it...”
“You never think that you’ll be one of the “1 in 4” who will experience a mental illness...”
“I’d encourage anyone to host a Tea & Talk to help raise money the Foundation urgently needs…”
“Tea & Talk was the perfect event for us to organise in my sister’s memory...”
"Tea & Talk is a brilliant stepping stone into breaking down stigma."
