The Mental Health Foundation has a fast-growing reputation for innovation in mental health research and practice. We are an independent charity with a long-term view of how to transform care and treatment for people with mental health problems. In recent years we have published groundbreaking research on exercise and depression, nutrition and mental health, and self-harm.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed mental health researcher to become our Head of Research and lead one of our leading programmes of work. You will be:

Committed to mental health and well-being, to improving the experience of mental health service users and to making mental health issues relevant to public audiences

A good staff manager and with a proven track record in managing projects, contracts and budgets

Committed to delivering meaningful mental health service user involvement in our work

Able to identify funding sources, develop costed project proposals and win new business
And you will have:

Sound methodological and research management experience

Experience in evaluation and/or research consultancy

Strong editorial and quality assurance skills
