Catherine McLoughlin CBE, Trustee

Catherine is chair of the UK Rehabilitation Council, as well as Vice-president of Age UK.

As the last Chair of Age Concern-England she worked with the Chair of Help the Aged to create the new charity for older people named Age UK. She remains a trustee of her local Age Concern-Lambert and has recently become a Trustee of Age Exchange.

Before retiring from the NHS Catherine held positions as Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Executive, as well as Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for England. Since retirement she has been Chair of Bromley Health Authority and St. George's NHS Trust.

As a mental health nurse Catherine retains an interest in young people and chaired a UK-wide inquiry into Self-harm in Young People. She was awarded a CBE for her services to the NHS.
