Governance
We are the UK’s leading mental health research, policy and service improvement charity.
We share the vision of the pioneering doctors and scientists who began our organisation more than sixty years ago: a world where we all live mentally healthier lives.
1 in 4 British adults experiences a mental health problem each year and yet the stigma that continues to surround mental health means that too few people ask for help or receive it at the right time.
We are governed by a Board of Trustees which sets the strategic direction, monitors the delivery of our objectives and upholds our values and good governance. They also guide, advise and support the Chief Executive, who leads the Senior Management Team which has executive responsibility for delivery of our vision and purpose.
