Many have personal or family experience of mental ill health as well as a lifetime of experience in mental health policy and services.

Our Chief Executive, Dr Andrew McCulloch, has more than thirty years’ senior experience in mental health policy and research.

Isabella works extensively on Scottish mental health policy, established the Scottish mental health service user organization, VOX, and developed the Mental Health and Arts Film Festival. She has an MSc in Public Health and is a qualified RMN.

Simon is an expert in mental health policy with 30 years’ experience for organisations such as the King’s Fund and the Department of Health.

David Crepaz-Keay, Head of Empowerment and Social Inclusion

David offers over 20 years’ experience in service user involvement. He is currently studying for a Doctorate at Middlesex University and he is a member of the All Wales Mental Health Promotion Board and an advisor to WHO Europe on empowerment.

Barbara has influenced the improvement of learning disability services across the UK and internationally. She serves on national advisory committees, founded the Learning Disability Coalition and holds a MSc in Health and Social Policy.

Lauren Chakkalackal, Research Officer
Lauren Chakkalackal, Research Officer

Lauren has extensive experience conducting research projects and evaluations across the fields of mental health and learning disabilities in both the UK and in Canada. She holds a MSc in Mental Health Studies and a BSc in Psychology.

Kirsten Morgan, Research Assistant
Kirsten Morgan, Research Assistant

Kirsten is currently studying for a BSc in International Studies and works on the Learn 2b project for the Foundation. She specialises in children and young people's mental health, the development of age appropriate services and non-medical interventions.
