If you continue to have problems please email our webteam

What is a podcast?

A podcast is a regularly updated audio broadcast which you can download and listen to anytime, anywhere.

The Mental Health Foundation regulary produces podcasts. These include:

  • Relaxation podcasts

  • Sleep podcasts

These podcasts range from 5 minutes to 20 minutes

Once downloaded you can use the MP3 file on any media player that you have. You can then listen to these podcast episodes on your computer, or transfer them to a portable mp3 player.

Popular media players include:

How do I download the podcasts?

You pick the podcast you wish to download and click on the title, this will bring you to a new page where there will be a download link. You click this and the download will start. It is as simple as downloading a PDF file.

How do I move the podcast to my MP3 file?

This depends on the software that you use - but will be no different to how you would transfer other podcasts or music from your computer to MP3 player. If you do not currently have the software, you can listen to the file on your computer.

Do I have to pay for podcasts?

Currently all Mental Health Foundation podcasts are free.

What kind of Internet connection do I need?

We would advise a broadband connection. You can still download and receive podcasts using slower connection speeds, such as with dial-up, but the download times will obviously be greater.

Can I burn the podcast on to CD?

Yes, but the podcasts are for your personal non-commercial use only.

All title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights in, and to, the Mental Health Foundation podcasts shall remain the property of the Mental Health Foundation. You may not edit, alter, adapt or add to the Mental Health Foundation podcast in any way.

What are the terms and conditions for downloading a podcast?

To find out the terms and condition for downloading a podcast from the Mental Health Foundation website, read our terms and conditions.
